We were so excited as our family gathered on Wednesday morning September 14, 2011.
We were 22 people, one heart...All beginning the trip of a lifetime.
In the days ahead, we would have eight flights and many bus hours.
But the energy of the journey would be unforgettable.
It all began when we were guided by Spirit to take our church family to Turkey. As you have heard many times, we had great Angelic forces coming together to make it happen.
From the planning stages to the trip itself, Turkey was waiting for us. It was time for us to share our love.
Day one was filled with great expectations that would be met in every way.
We left the Church at 11:20 am- We would travel for the next 24 hours. Everyone was happy and in great spirits. It was a relatively easy trip.
Day 2:
We arrived in Istanbul- a long ride to our hotel. We had met Rabia, our guide, she was kind and informative….very informative. The Hotel was beautiful and centraly located. A nice surprise after such a long trip.
Day 3:
This morning we went to the Blue Mosque.
The blue mosque was extremely crowded, we could not really stay together. Apparently the mosque was closing early that day. But we made our way to the roped off area- they kept the tourist from the space where the men prayed.
You could feel the energy of the space shift- right inside the prayer area. It became heavy and protective. There was a collective of male souls who were holding the light for every man who came to pray. They comforted them and encouraged them. These beings really believed the ideals they followed. Their job was to hold the energy for all who came. I could imagine how comforting it must have been for a man to go and pray and be met by this collective. I asked them if they wanted to go to the light, and they said that they were exactly where they needed to be. They will do their job- it is an honor to them- they were very committed. And very spiritual- they were one with the God of their hearts. I know that every man who walks in there feels the great comforting of this group of people.
Then we went to St. Sophia
Here there was so much energy. It had been a Christian church- then the Christian art had been painted over when it had become a mosque. Then the government said that it should be neither- but rather a museum.
There was a lot of scattered energy in the building itself.
When we went upstairs to the area where the women were allowed to witness the services, I found a small group of female slaves hiding in a corner. They were, of course, spirits. They had come to this place after their deaths because it was the only place where they had felt safe. They would accompany their mistresses here, but they would gather at the edges. Here no man could reach them or hurt them.
I left them there, simply acknowledging their presence. As Esra and I walked down the stairs to leave, she asked me something and I began to tell her about these women. She asked why they would stay here, and as I began to explain, the spirits started to listen. They knew I was talking about them. It was almost as if Esra was asking the questions they had wanted to, but could not. As I explained to her that they did not have the same beliefs that their owners had had, and that they could go to the God of their own hearts- this was a new idea to them. Then Esra and I said a prayer for them to go to the light- the spirits were very happy…and they left.
More on St. Sophia tomorrow.....
